A place to make progress visible.
Why I am starting this collection of projects and notes.
I want this site to give my work somewhere to accumulate.
A project can involve weeks of decisions, false starts, and small improvements. Once it is finished, much of that thinking is easy to lose. Writing about it gives me a reason to pause and work out what actually changed.
A useful standard for an update
For a project, I want to be able to explain:
- What problem was I trying to solve?
- What did I contribute?
- Which decision mattered, and why?
- What result can I show?
- What would I improve next?
A note can be smaller: a lesson from an experiment, a question I am still working through, or a decision I would now make differently.
Some accountability
Making the work visible gives me a reason to keep building and reflecting. My aim is to leave a record of progress that is useful to someone else and honest enough to be useful to me.
This first version is a starting point. The next step is to add evidence from the work as it develops.
